This is an easy-on-the-eye website, with calming light blue colouring throughout and it’s also quite easy to navigate. You can shop by browsing through selected price ranges, varieties of flowers, styles of presentation, choice of colour or even different occasions. The pictures size however, are on the small side therefore of average quality at first hand. You can get a larger version by double clicking. It does not always give exact description of types of flowers or number of stems used in each collection. It states to be ‘due to seasonal variations some items may be substituted to produce a display of equal quality and value’. As such, I would only give this website marks 3.5/5.

Its ‘Valentine’ section carries 25 different options with prices starting from £20 (for a single red rose with foliage presented in a ceramic vase) to £100 for ‘a compact posy arrangement of red roses displayed in a trendy container’ (did not specify how many stems of roses). A typical 10 red roses (maybe more, but I could only deduce 10 from the picture as it was not specified in the description) in a vase is charged at £29.99.

They have many add-on options (which is called the ‘finishing touches’) eg. balloon (£7), chocolates (£8), bear (£9) or vase (£12). If all else fails, send alternative gifts instead such as fragrances or even ‘experience day’ gifts. (This website does not restrict itself to being just a postal florist)

As well as the normal size bouquet, you can have the option to make it medium or large, with additional prices of course. The delivery charge of £3.99 applies for next day delivery (or can be same day delivery if ordered before 2.30pm).

Message option is to 'type your own'.

On 23 Jan 08, I ordered their ‘Florist’s Choice’ traditional style bouquet in pink (£25) and I ‘upgraded’ it to a medium size bouquet at £30.

On the same day at about 12pm, a lady in a car delivered a rather large size (60-70cm tall) bouquet, wrapped in cellophane with a gift bow. The bouquet is made up of 3 pink liatris, 5 pink stocks, 5 pink chrysanthemums, 3 pink alstroemerias, 7 leather leaf and 3 clematis greens. The quality was acceptable, with the alstroemerias still in bud. The scented stocks had some unopened buds even though some of its delicate flowers were slightly squashed. The message was hand-written on a small, typical florist card.

This order was relayed via a local florist.

My overall impression was one of slight disappointment as the bouquet was made up of your average type of flowers, not dissimilar to those one could purchase from a supermarket. I do not feel I received value for money considering the quantity and type of flowers received.
